Chapter 13

Finally over

Ralph was in the boat with the captain going back to the ship. “How big was that fire out there”. “It was very big, how did you guys get it started” said the captain. “One of the barmy boys on the island started it and tried to kill me”.

“Can you point him out boy” replied the captain.

“No I can't find him on this boat”.

“Did he want to stay behind on the island”.

“I think he did because he was turning very savage and he kill two of the boys here”.

As Ralph and The Captain were talking, samneric started to make very weird nosies and then they said that we left Percival and jack on the island. “What did that boy say” exclaimed the captain. “That boy is barmy to the maximum”. “I think all you boys are a little barmy after that experience”.

Ralph was getting very mad at the captain for calling him barmy. Ralph was thinking about all of his memories on the island. “I remember when me and piggy first met each other. “Also when we found the conch and first called an assembly on the island”. “That is when we first met the savage himself, Jack Merridew. As he said his name, everybody got nervous about what happened to jack. “Who is this Jack Merridew, and what is the big deal with him” said the captain . Ralph thought about piggy and then about Simon. He didn't know how to start off the explanation of Jack. “Their are crazy people in this world”. “Jack Merridew wasn't one off them before he came to this island”. “How did he act before you guys got here”. “Nobody really knew off him except his friends” said Ralph. At that moment Roger heard Ralph and started to talk about how jack was before the island.

“Jack was one of those people who you wanted to be friends with”. “He always was nice to you, and he would never let anybody mess with you”. “What do you mean, he killed piggy” yelled Ralph.

“Who was piggy” said the captain. “A friend who I took for granite”. Ralph Felt really bad and wanted to tell piggy's aunt about how he and piggy where friends.

“You're acting a little weird Ralph”.

He was staring at something off in the distance.

“Ralphhhhh”

“OMG it's jack”

Half of the boys peed their pants when they heard that name. Epically The littluns. “He is trying to swim over here, stop the boat” said roger. “Don't stop this bloody ship” yelled Ralph. “Shut up Ralph, you're stupid” said Roger.

“No you shut up, you barmy savage, you killed piggy” accused Ralph.

“You know what, I hate you and all of your stupid ideas”. Ralph was getting so angry, you'd think he was a mighty savage to. Then roger went overboard and swam toward jack and then they were both swimming for the ship. “Is everything OK back there” said the captain. A voice from the crowd said “Roger jumped overboard so that he could save Jack”. “That was stupid, besides we are almost at the boat now” said Ralph. “Here we are, at the boat”. “Where are you guys going to take us” said Maurice. “Well how are Roger and Jack gonna get back on this ship” Said Ralph. “There not”................

My Life

After jack stole my specs, We had to go and get them back. I was practically blind the whole time. So i had to hold onto Eric and Sam like a dog.We walked over to his little hangout and walked pass the guards to castle rock. When we got there, Ralph demanded jack to give us back my specs and told him that it was a dirty trick. called him a bloody liar and a fat swine. Then he started laughing which made Ralph's cheeks turn super red. After a while Ralph got mad and tried to take the spear out of jack's hands but then jack started pulling the stick too. So it was petty hectic as you can imagine. Suddenly I died. I realized that it was boys who pushed a rock down on me to kill me. Now I am watching them on the island.

Stupid little boys

Wow. I can’t believe those ding-dongs actually killed me like the lord of the flies said. Well the view from here is great. I can see everything that is happening on the island. I saw Ralph and Piggy arguing in the morning whose fault it was that I was dead. Piggy said that it was just a accident and that I kind of dissevered it for creeping around in the middle of the night. Then samneric came and they said that they left early and pretended that they didn’t help jack and his tribe kill me. But Ralph and Piggy were playing stupid too.

Then I went over to jacks tribe and I saw jack talking to Roger and Maurice about how they were going to go in the middle of the night and steal piggy’s specs so they could always make fire. So they went and the started whispering piggy’s name and they were really freaking him out. Then there was a big rumble in the middle of the tent for about 10 minutes. Everybody had a decent hit on each other. Put suddenly piggy had an asthma attack. Then Jack, Roger, and Maurice left and were running back to there cave.

As they walked Ralph, Piggy, And samneric started to talk about what had just happened. Ralph said that he beat that crap out of a kids face. Then Sam said that his face was bloody and that he kicked a kid in his pills. Then Ralph said he got kicked there by somebody. Then they all realized that they were just fighting themselves. Wow, they must feel very stupid. Things are getting crazier without me.

Got that beastie


Today was a very good day. The tribe and I have come of our biggest victory yet. We killed a big sow and we cut of the head and put it onto the top of a stick. We left it there for the beastie as a present. I can still see the phosphorescence of the sun right as we killed the pig. We decided to invite them because we had to get fire to cook the pig. So we thought that obviously they would let us use some fire if we invite them to a cookout.

So we went over to there little “Shelter” and invited them and they said that they would come. So we took some of there fire and started back to our place to start cooking the huge sow. They came and then we started to eat. After we got full we started to get a little crazy and we dance around a circle of fire. We reenacted when we killed the sow. Robert was the sow and he was running around in the circle squealing. Suddenly we heard something from the forest. We all jumped up and started to attack it. I saw a lot of blood in the sand so I thought that we killed it. But suddenly I saw that beast’s face, IT WAS SIMON.

I am so mad at Ralph. I started the day off by letting everybody know that I would not be living with them anymore. I told them that I would be living by myself and anybody that wanted to join could join me. I asked who wanted to join but nobody raised their hands, not even my hunters. I started to cry a little bit, thinking about all that I did for them and now them stab me in the back. A while after I was waiting on people to join, my hunters and most of the older boys came over and joined in.

So the first thing we did was hunt. We walked through the jungle looking for a pig run and then all of a sudden we saw a sow with her piglets. So the hunters and I tiptoed to them and we got her right in the butt. She ran away pretty fast so we decided to chase after her. After a while she started to loose a lot of blood so she got weaker and weaker until she stopped in a middle of a place where butterflies were fluttering around. We gutted the pig and then cut of the head and put it on a sharpened stick and stuck in the ground for the beastie. Man I am so proud that we got that big catch. After we invited Ralph and Piggy to a feast. I hope they come so we can have a little talk.

That’s not our smoke!!

I was sleeping in my own little dream world when suddenly Sam and Eric woke me up. They said that they saw a beastie coming from the air. They said that they ran from it and it almost grabbed their back but they escaped. So of course we all start panicking, but jack said let’s kill it. I knew that he would say that because he loves killing stuff. So Sam and Eric started to describe this beastie and as soon as they described it I thought of a heroic army man that became sick. So we go through the forest and we get to a ledge and jack saw a rock. He told us to push the rocks down the hill for fun. While we where rolling these rocks down the hill, Ralph noticed that there was smoke coming from a place that wasn’t the mountain. I hope this is another person who can save us. Also everybody doesn’t believe that I have a secret place because jack said that he has been all around the island. I am nervous.

Ralph is starting to get under my skin. He keeps putting me down even though he is being a bad chief. Also the Littluns are going crazy. Percival was saying that there was a beastie coming out of the water at night when everybody went to sleep. Also Ralph thinks that I am ludicrous. If anybody is, it is he. He is the chief and he can’t even keep order at the assembly’s. I got really excited when Ralph said that he might be giving me the chief honors now. If he did we would have so much meat that we would have nowhere to store it. Then the boy Percival said that he seen something going through the creepers. Kids started to cry as other’s jeered at them. Then Ralph started to run his mouth about all of these different rules that we aren’t following. Then everybody left the meeting and that boy Percival started up with incantations and it started to make everybody creeped out. Stupid Littluns are messing everything up.

I hate that guy

Ok, most of the time I am ok with jack, but today he made me so infuriated. He left the fire go out so he could go get some meat for us. There was only one problem. The fire went out right before a boat came around near the island. So they thought that nobody was on the island. Jack came back with a pig and that was ok but we could have been saved. I told him how angry I was, but he was so blatant about it. He said that I should be happy for him because he got us meat. I don’t know what I am going to do with jack. He keeps disrespecting me and I am chief. Also jack broke piggy’s specs. Then he wouldn’t give any of the meat to piggy. Simon was so generous and gave his piece of meat to piggy but jack shoved it back at Simon. I don’t know what I am going to do with jack, that crazy beast.

Today is day three on the island and we almost had the pleasure of having meat for dinner, but

jack missed in his aim. He was contrite, but not too much. .I thought he named his group the

hunters for a reason. Now we have to eat fruit again. Jack made his own little spear so that he

has two weapons to hut now. Ralph also said that we should make huts in the beach. We had

many vicissitudes trying to build these huts. I think that everybody doesn't take me serious

because I am inscrutable. So what that I sometimes susurration. Everybody does once in a

while. Our huts rock in the wind a little bit but the fact that opaque helps it a little bit. I just

hope that Ralph will tell everybody to take me seriously. Well I guess I will see ya tomorrow.

Fire on the Mountain

The Beastie

Today started of very different than the first day. It started of with some little boy arguing with

Ralph about some kind of "beastie" .We had a meeting and everybody started to pitch out there

ideas about how we would get airplanes to see us if the happen to fly over the island. Then Ralph

said fire. Everybody jumped at the idea and wanted to make a fire with smoke. The jack said

that we should put it onto of the mountain so that it would be easier for airplanes to see the

smoke. Everybody liked it and rushed up to the mountain and ignored piggy even though he had

the conch. When we got up to the top, we all started to gather up stuff to make the fire. Then we

realized that we had nothing to start the fire with. But Ralph's quick thinking said to use piggy's

specs to light the fire. So we did that and soon enough the fire was a blazing. Then nobody could

find that "beastie kid". I hope we find him safely.

Sound of The Shell

That Noise

Today was a very weird day. The choir and I where woke up on a island that we didn't know we where supposed to be on. Our plane crash-landed and nobody can remember what happened. We all started to scavenger and we found a jungle and a huge mountain. The mountain had some pink stuff on it. We walked around for a little bit and couldn’t find anybody else from our plane. Then after a while we heard a ear-piercing sound coming from the reef. We walked towards the noise and we found a lot of younger kids from the flight. The boy who made the noise was standing in front of everybody else and had a big shell in his hand. We walked toward him and he told us that his name was Ralph. Ralph wanted to have a village type thing since there where no adults there. The boys thought that we should have a leader for this "village". So they had a vote and voted Ralph instead of me. So Ralph, Simon, and I. We all went to look around and found a bog rock for the mountain. We used our strength to move the rock and then climbed up the rest of the mountain. Then we went back to the kids.

Romek Final Post

1)The part in this book that I find most horrifying is when they shoot finci's dad. I think that part is mostly messed up because his world was already going bad and then he finds his dad and then they killed him right in front of him.

2) I think it helped a lot that he got the job of feeding the dogs because, He got to eat some of the food for the dogs and also he didn't have to use much of his strength to do this job. He could have had to dig and then he probably would have died.

3)The conditions at Bergen-Belson are horrible. They are having David carry dead bodies even though he is almost dead of exhaustion and hunger. Also they don't have any running water to the place so people are dying off really fast.

4)I think the biggest moment of triumph is when he met his sister's husband. I think that at that point he was super excited and you could tell because he ran up and gave him a big hug. Also I think he felt triumphed when he crawled out of the door and saw the red cross people.

5)I think That Middle schools, High schools, and Academies should make it a priority to read this book because, This book describes the horrors of the holocaust. When people read this book they will think twice about whining about not getting their way because he couldn't even get anything he NEEDED. So you can see why this is a good book for people to read because it will describe the horrors of the holocaust to them.

1)He voice was really strong and it really made understand what he went through. Also it kinda confused me cause at parts I couldn't understand so of the stuff he said. Also I noticed that he answered all of my questions.

2)When he first met the Russian's, they thought that he was a German. Also he was very brave by going and sabotaging people. I think Romek was proud because he had so much guts and Romek thought that David was acting like him.

3)I think that they spared his life because he was so young that he couldn't possibly have a idea about the "blue file".Also I think they thought the he would have told them before. Also I think if he knew he would have told them when he saw them kill his brother.

1) I think that his pigeon really can tell him if the Germans are coming cause when you think about it, they would probably shoot the pigeon if they saw it. Also they might shoot of bullets and the pigeon will her and fly away and never come back to David.

2) The conditons at the camp are very bad and their is very little running pluming.The term vacation camp is used so the don't straight up say death camp.Also at the camp the germans are just killing jews randomlly.

1. I didn't know that they mad some of the people they captured dig trenches for them selfs to be later killed in.I think that is messed up. Also I didn't know that they almost killed all the jews in Poland

2. A)David fabers family is strong and they went through a lot so far but they still have faith.Also they have a lot of kids which kinda makes the traveling a little bit harder because you have more people to transport.

B)I think he remembers every detail because it was so scary to him. I would be scared to if I had to rescue my dad from the Nazi's. Also this whole thing was horrific and he can't help but to remember all the horrific events that happened to him.

3.I think that his rescue of his dad showed how bold David was and how courageous he was because it takes a lot of guts to put your life on the line for your dad , but I would have done the same thing if I were in his place. Or at least I think I would.

The purpose of this project was to create a mural that represented some kind of Aztec symbol or something that was significant. In our case we made a mural about the different warrior suits that the Aztec warriors. We went to Chicano park to look at murals and then we used some the symbols to use on our own murals. I don't know if in our group anybody in our group found any murals with warriors in them.

I leaned a lot about Aztec culture and how things were ruled back then because it is way different than todays living standerds. Like back in those days they had slaves which we don't have now. Also they had an emporer which is like our president except we vote for who we want. In the Aztec days, the people in the family would become the next emporer.

Book: Son of the mob


Overall this book was kinda confusing because sometimes you couldn't tell that he was talking thought his script or if he was serious. One of the things that i like is how his the son of a mob boss. I have always had a liking for the mob and how it works. This book reminds me of the tv show, The sopranos because, the are in the mob and I picture vince luca's dad as a heavy set man like tony s0prano.I would recommend this book to people who want to read about the mob but, it can sometimes get really confusing because you can't really tell if he is reading from his script or not. Also I liked how this story started of. It was a pretty interesting way to start of a story about the mob.

The purpose of this project was to make a website about a current issue in the united states of around the world. It could also have been about moral courage what was what our group did the website about. Every person in our group had a specific job that they had to do in order to make our website perform at the best it can. We also had to have five pages of written notes so that we could turn that into written content for the website.We had three sub-topics, the holocaust, The Salem witch trials, and the crucible.

WHAT I LEARNED

I learned a lot of stuff during this project about many different things that include, The Salem witch trails, The Holocaust, and The crucible which was a book that was written in the 1950's by an playwright named Arther Miller. I learned how the witch's were put to death during the Salem witch trials and how Arthur Miller made the crucible about the Salem witch trails which was kind of a modern day thing that was happing and he decide to show the public of this non-sense in the form of a play. Also how Hitler rose to power during the 1940's which lead into the second world war of that century.

REFLECTION

I kind of enjoyed this project but then at sometimes I wouldn't like it because it was so stress full and it took a very long to make the final product, which was a fully functional website that had related to something that was happening in the modern day world .Next time I would have a little bit more of written content because i think that we could have used a little more information on each subject that we wrote about.

1. I just finished the book Animal Fram and it is really wierd at the end and kind of confused me but then I thought about it and then understood what it meant. My favortie character was snowball who was a pig and he ran away because he and comrade(The other pig) were fighting so, snowball ran away for about a month.

2.I Think that the characters snowball and comerade are like me and my brother cause we fight too. But he doesn't ignore my for a month like snowball. Also I think that My brother and I, are like them when we make up these schemes to do something.

1. One of the characters that i liked in this book is snowball. He is one of the 2 pigs that convince the animals of the farm to overthrow Mr. Jones(the farmer). They decide to over through the farmer because they think that they are over worked. If I were the animals I would also want to overthrow the farmer because he doesn't even give them extra stuff, even when they work extra hard.

2.Well so far, I think the theme of this book is don't take stuff for granite because one day you might lose it and it will be hard. In this case, Mr. Jones overworked his animals, so they overthrew him and the farm.
