1.I think the saddest part in Betty Ann was when she writes a great story ,but when it comes to the eating watermelon part and everybody was laughing and teasing her was messed up.
2.When mergie called Betty Ann at her house and started picking her would have made me so mad.I think you are a coward if you pick on somebody because it just makes you feel better about yourself.
3.I think the morale is treat others the way you want to be treated because I would be mad if I was nice to somebody and they mean to me.

That part where The characters friend calls on the phone was mean. she was taking the joke too far. Welcome to the reading group!
I agree with what you said, but I also think that there is more to the moral then that.
