The significance of this quote shows how bad people think of his people coming over to America. they think that they are just here to take their jobs and look better than they are.

This shows you how dangerous it was for these boys to be walking across Africa. They had to sit back to back just so they could survive the night, but you might die the next day.

qoute 2:they had to sit really close just to be safe. its sad that they were not safe because here we all take for granted and think we got it bad but they have it really bad.question 2: i would feel scared because i wouldnt relly know what to do. i think over time i would get use to it and problly have to act or behave older then i am.
