TKAM Journal #2 - Chapters 4-7 - Perspective: Scout

This school year went by way to slow. All the other kids take their time learning stuff that is pretty simple to me. One day when i was walking back home from school, I saw a little tin foil looking thing sticking out of the radley's oak tree. It turns out that they were two pieces of chewing gum. Then on the last day of school I went back to the radley oak tree and found two Indian headed pennies . When summer finally came, Jem, Dill, and I started up our games. We rolled each other in tires and when it was my turn, I rolled right in front of the radley place. After that our games seemed to be more based on the radleys. On day father caught us and asked jem did our games involve the radleys and jem lied to him.We invited Boo to Ice Cream but dad caught us and said not to torment that man.On the last day that dill was here we peeped through a hole that looked into the radley place and saw a figure with a hat. We all ran and heard shotgun shots behind us.We ran to the school yard but jem's pants got stuck. We walked back through town and we saw dad. He asked us were jem's pants were. Stupid Dill said that he won them in a game of strip poker. After school starts, jem found his pants fixed and hanging the fence. Then we kept finding stuff inside the tree knothole.Until one day it was filled with cement. We asked nathan radley but he said the tree was dying.

I dont think its good to just tell the story again, i mean if you were scout you are pretty much trying to repeat the same story. I like how you describe many of the things. And i liked how it is all in story order. And grammer is also something i think you should check up on.

Try talking more about Scout's feelings. Work on your capitalization, and I agree with Julian; don't retell the segment you read. Use more expression in your writing, and your vocab. words.
